In this sequel to the Lace mini-series, Lili must now find her father to save her newly found mother. Her mother, Judy, went to Asia to interview the head of a revolutionary force. When she got there, she was told that she was brought so the revolutionary army could ask for a million dollar ransom. Lili doesn't have that kind of money, so along with her mother's friends, Pagan and Maxine, she must find her father and ask him for the ransom. Her mother wrote three semi-autobiographical novels about the man who is Lili's father. Each of the women go off on separate trails to see the men that are depicted in Judy's stories.
